On Sunday 28th November (between 11am and 4pm), Trentham Shopping Village will be holding a World War One Thank You Day to commemorate 100 years since the end of WW1.
The free-to-enter event will feature the Adamson Military Band, First World War poetry readings, a military vehicle display and themed entertainment – including “George Formby” playing a Ukelele.
Weather permitting, the event will also include a spotter plane fly-over, while “Winston Churchill” will make appearances during the day to deliver one of his historic speeches.

Today we watched the final episode of Play Like Share from Thinkuknow, the NCA-CEOP Command’s education programme (see www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents for more details).
Play Like Share aims to help 8-10 year olds learn how to stay safe online. The series follows the adventures of Sam, Ellie and Alfie as they form a band and enter their school’s Battle of the Bands contest, taking on the mean but ‘cool’ Popcorn Wizards as they go. The three friends learn that while the internet can help them in pursuit of their goal, they need to use it wisely and safely and that ultimately, doing your best, including others and nurturing genuine friendship is much more important than how popular you are.
